Pr's & Pr's may 17

Hi! : )

To start off I have an urgent prayer request. I talked to my Mom last night and my stepdad is not doing well. He had back surgery about 5 weeks ago and at first things seemed better but now he is having pain in his hip and literally can't get out of bed. He has been having spasms and was running a fever. Some of his co-workers went over today to try and help get him out of bed so they can take him to the doctor. Their finances are getting even worse and my Mom doesn't have anyone there helping her except for my two younger brothers. My prayer is for a miracle of healing and restoration, but more than anything, a miracle of salvation. I want to see God's power and have the kind of faith that believes in these kinds of miracles.

Let's also have constant prayer for Quinton's sister and brother-in-law who are having major struggles in their marriage. Prayer that Christ would be known and lives would be turned around. Prayer for his sister and her kids safety.
Continued prayer for James's brother and sister-in-law who have been going through a separation.

Quinton has been working a lot and feels drained. Pray that he would be refreshed through vacation this week and have a time of peace and relaxation.
Naptali and Quinton are still looking for a house and made another offer. Also pray for sanity through their engagement and that they would keep their eyes on what's important.

Jennie is going back to Uganda! Pray for provision in raising support and preparation of what the Lord has for her. She will be leaving Denver in July and the states in August. We don't know specific dates yet, but she is planning on staying until Christmas.

Laura hasn't been feeling well. Prayers for her health and making healthy decisions. She also has Grad school orientation in about 8 days!

Kim is starting summer school and with everything going on lately doesn't feel mentally and emotionally ready. Prayers for speedy restoration and preparation. She will also be applying to nursing school over the next several months so pray that she will get in on the first try! ( CU is the first choice)

Also, it seemed like everyone was interested in co-supporting a child for Royal Family Kids Camp, right? So let's each plan on bringing at least $10 bucks(or whatever you can spare) to our next meeting on May 31st.

Everyone, thank you so much for being vulnerable and sharing a struggle. This is what doing life together is all about and I can't wait to know you all deeper.

One last thing, I am now "carless"(haven't sold it yet but don't have insurance). I bought a bike though and am super excited. Oddly enough I feel less burdened even though I will be more limited. Thank you for your graciousness in offering to take me to church. :) And if you know of anyone looking for a car, point them my way. It's a 2000 Pontiac Grand Am with 138,000 miles. The Kelley Blue Book value is about 3,100.

Have a super week!

  1. A quick update on my stepdad. They were able to get him to the doctor and things are looking up as far as the amount of pain he has been in, but mostly importantly please keep praying for salvation and restoration.
    Thanks!
