A few prayers, praises, and updates.
Jennie is leaving tomorrow! She's going back to Ohio to see her family for a week before she heads to Uganda with "Come, Let's Dance". Please pray for an amazing time in seeking the Lord, hearing from Him, and understanding her role and how she can be used. I also encourage everyone to consider partnering with her financially over the next months.
James and Kim are also leaving tomorrow to go visit James's grandmother while she is in her last days. Our biggest prayer here is really to see a miracle. Most of James's family does not know Christ, including his grandmother. Pray that the Lord would move radically in their hearts and that James and Kim would be prepared for words or actions to show Christ's love.
Kim is also sending in her application soon to CU (her first choice) for nursing school. Pray that she would have peace through this process and enjoy her time off until she gets accepted. Because we know she will.
Julie is also heading back east. She and Jenna are leaving next Tuesday to drive to Maine. Jenna is a newby at the stick shift so pray for some good, yet safe, stories for her to bring back to us. ; ) This has been a big transition for them, and Laura of course, so prayers to embrace what's next for each of them and prayers for Julie's preparation before she leaves with the Peace Corps next year. She said that she'll be back to visit before then though so we'll have to keep her accountable to that.
Adriene is still making some decisions about job situations and living situations; whether or not she will move to Tennessee to invest in her relationship with Martin and where she will go with her career. Pray for rest and clarity and that we would come alongside her with wise counsel and support.
(p.s. i'm really tired so if you're noticing any awkward phrasing or weird comments that's my excuse. )
And I also found out yesterday that my upcoming interview is not September 24th, like we had thought, but is in fact August 24th which is this coming Monday! yeah, i freaked out a little bit. So I guess I would just ask that I allow myself to relax as I am also heading out of town tomorrow to visit a friend in Washington state. I really want my focus to be on how I can best glorify God with the opportunities that are before me and to remember that it's not about me.
I hope everyone is well.
Enjoy some mac mac this week!
:)
